This week, our annual higher education fairs returned to Ealing Green College (1 October 2024) and Hammersmith and Fulham College (3 October 2024). The events had record attendance, with hundreds of students eager to explore opportunities with over 20 universities from across the UK, as well as apprenticeship providers.
Organised by Careers Advisor Jemima Wiredu, the fair provided essential guidance on UCAS applications and apprenticeships. She said: “At Íæż½ã½ã, we want our students to be fully informed about their next steps. At the HE fairs, they can explore open days, gain insights on completing UCAS applications, and learn about higher and degree apprenticeships. These fairs are designed to give them the confidence to plan their futures. We always encourage our students to dig deeper. Don’t just find out what courses are available – ask about the modules within each programme, the campus environment, accommodation, their student support services. It’s not just about choosing a university; it’s about making informed decisions that align with their goals and interests.”
Students at the fair gave incredibly positive feedback, with two highlights being: “HE Fairs like this are really helpful to me as there is so much information all under one roof. I don’t need to spend a lot of time and money visiting the universities myself to get the information I need,” and “Thank you for organising the fair, I’ve never seen so many universities like this in one place. It’s easier to go and speak with them and get more information about their course offers, student finance, and accommodation, and also they told me about bursaries and scholarships I could apply for.”
We are grateful to the many universities who kindly supported our HE fairs:
